Towel robes are great for kids on the move. You put it on them, snap it up, and get on to playing or having snack without the towel falling off your child. It's simple, keeps them warm, and is cute to boot! They're great for birthday and Christmas presents, especially for the active child who already has a ton of toys, and are perfect for the beach and swimming lessons.
Towel Robes are made out of cotton terry cloth, with plastic snaps up the front and a fun appliqué on the front and the back. They are made to order in Ottawa, and orders take no longer than 2 weeks (often they can be made more quickly, if there's a special event you're aiming for let me know and we can discuss if that's possible.) Currently orders can be picked up in Kanata South, and I am hoping to offer shipping in the near future.
What is involved?
1. Pick a size, if you don't know what size to order send me an email with the child's age and whether you think they're big, small, or average for their age and I can help you select a size. Robes work fine if they're a bit big, so ordering a size larger lets your child wear their robe for even longer. Current sizes available are 6-12m, 2T, 3T, and 4T. But if you need another size please don't hesitate to ask, I am happy to expand my offerings to meet your needs. (Larger sizes may cost slightly more as they demand more material).
2. Pick a main colour, this is the colour the main body of your robe will be (orange, blue, green, yellow, or pink).
3. Pick a contrast colour, this is the colour the appliqués (fun shapes) will be (orange, blue, green, yellow, or pink).
4. Pick an appliqué, currently I offer planes, fish, rockets, anchors, and dolphins.
Simply send an email to karenfletcherknits+knitmakesew@gmail.com with the above information and your name and I will write you back to confirm the details and let you know when I will have your robe ready. Robes are $25 each and can be paid at pickup. Currently I accept cash.
